| If you want to be in a contest |
|
Most contests are on-the-spot. That means you sign up today,
no later than 10 minutes before the start. Some contests fill
up quickly, and we take the first people to sign up.
(We’ll start taking sign-ups about 20 minutes before
the start. ) Be sure you get there early!
Contests/Competitions are subject to cancellation/change due to weather and/or participation.

| AG-SPERIENCE |
|
New this year - come experience the Ag-sperience in the Red Livestock Barn! Children and adults alike are welcome to visit this award-winning 4-H group in the barn. Participate in several agriculture-related activities that illustrate the importance of farming in our area! It's a fun way for kids of all ages to learn about farming, farm animals and where many of our favorite foods come from. Also visit with all the animals in the barn. |

The talent show offers youth in 4-H clubs from Craven, Carteret, Jones and Pamlico Counties the opportunity to showcase their talent in this competition.

This is an Open Show. . . Professional Bull Riders, get tough with the toughest sport on dirt. Professional Bull Riding is the most popular event in rodeo. So popular that it has its own association, the PBR. Come watch all the action at the Outdoor Arena located behind the Red Livestock Barn. |

Ugly Truck Contest

Another new attraction to the fair this year is the Ugly Truck Contest. Do you have an old "ugly" truck that you would like to enter? No entry fee required. . . just drive your truck to the fairgrounds on Sunday and leave it on display to be judged by fairgoers.
